What is Low Vision?

Low vision is a visual impairment that interferes with the ability to perform everyday activities that cannot be corrected by standard eyeglasses, contact lenses, medication, or surgery. Examples of everyday tasks include school and work activities, mobility, reading the mail, viewing a television or computer screen, shopping, cooking, or performing household tasks.

If you or someone you know cannot perform any of these everyday activities as a result of your eyesight, you can get a referral to us from your eye care professional for a low vision examination.

To schedule an appointment, please call (585) 697-5736.
