Causes of Low Vision

Most people develop low vision as a result of an eye disease or health condition, such as macular degeneration, diabetes or glaucoma with macular degeneration as the leading cause of low vision in the Western world. Other causes of visual impairment include: corneal disease, retinitis pigmentosa, amblyopia, cataracts, and myopia. Eye injuries are also a common cause of visual impairment.

If you would like more information on these eye conditions or if you think you are a good candidate for vision rehabilitation, call us at (585) 697-5736.
