Bequests
A gift to ABVI–Goodwill in your will or living trust
is a way to establish a lasting legacy. A bequest to
ABVI–Goodwill is a simple way to invest in our
mission and ensure that we
continue our longstanding tradition of serving people who
are visually impaired in the Greater Rochester Area and
Finger Lakes Region.
Specific Bequest
A specific bequest is when you bequeath a sum of money
or other property to ABVI–Goodwill. Here is sample wording
you may use in your will:
"I bequeath to ABVI–Goodwill Industries of Greater Rochester,
Inc. the sum of $__________________, to be used for
its general purposes."
Contingent Bequest
A specified amount or percentage of your estate is bequeathed
to ABVI–Goodwill, only if your said beneficiary does
not survive you.
Residuary Bequest
A specified percentage or all assets remaining in your
estate is bequeathed to ABVI–Goodwill.
