REHABILITATION AND VOCATIONAL SERVICES

Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired-Goodwill Industries of Greater Rochester, Inc. (ABVI-GOODWILL): Founded in 1913, ABVI-Goodwill assists individuals who are blind or visually impaired to achieve their highest level of independence by providing services designed to enable them to participate fully in family and community life. Services include rehabilitation teaching, low vision examinations, mobility training, counseling services, social case work, children's services, computer assessment and training, vocational services, elderly outreach and recreation. In addition, ABVI-Goodwill offers employment opportunities in manufacturing, food service, catering and in the Retail Division’s Goodwill Fashions stores. For information, call or write:

New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped (NYS CBVH): Provides rehabilitation services for individuals who are legally blind and live in New York State.
