ABVI-Goodwill's business services supports the mission of the organization by providing revenue to help fund our vision rehabilitation services while also creating jobs and training opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired, those in need of employment or people who have other disabilities.
In addition to our Goodwill stores, ABVI-Goodwill's Manufacturing division is a vital part of our operations. In 2005, our Self-stick Note Pad business expanded through the introduction of several new note pad products. Our CD-ROM replication business continues to thrive and has recently added several new state and federal contracts, including Health Now, New York State Department of State, New York State Taxation and Finance, and a Staples product catalog for the Government Service Administration. As a result, we can offer new opportunities in the form of more complex jobs for skilled workers who are blind or visually impaired.
Our Hospitality Group also helps support the mission of ABVI-Goodwill by preparing, packaging and delivering food to a variety of customers. In addition to operating our employee cafeteria, our food service staff delivers hundreds of thousands of lunches and snacks to area day care centers, senior centers and businesses.
ABVI-Goodwill's Call Center has developed into one of the premier programs of its type in the country, logging thousands of calls each month. The Call Center has a number of new and exciting contracts with governmental agencies and private businesses, including the New York State Department of Labor. ABVI-Goodwill's Call Center is committed to high quality and excellence for our customers while also providing challenging work assignments, competitive wages, and opportunities for growth and advancement for people who are blind or visually impaired.
